I'm back with what other Advent activities we have accomplished! We have had some changes to the original plan which I mean, go with the flow a bit eh Laur? Weather and sickness and what not.
Day seven was gingerbread houses, as we already mentioned:
Day nine was supposed to be take a photo with Santa but it was so so cold we decided to skip it. Instead we did Hershey's Sweet Lights, nice and toasty and in our pajamas:
Day ten was breakfast for dinner night! Basically just pancakes cut out with my festive cookie cutters:
Day eleven was make paper snowflakes, Buddy the Elf style:
Day twelve was do a kind act for someone else. Which is a little hard to witness seeing as they are at school all day. We discussed it before they left and they each listed off a few things. Told someone they liked their hair, held open a door, etc. I saw more of that at church that night. But maybe my kids just are kind? I'll take it. They get that from their dad. This was also our final night of Wednesday church for the year! They wore their pajamas and decorated cookies and sang festive songs. So much sugar!
Day thirteen was make a paper garland. As if my playroom could use any more decor.
Day fourteen was supposed to be Candylane but the weather was horrid and Dom had a cold. So we stayed home nice and warm and Letty and I made cookies! Which we all then (even Matt) helped deocrate.
Day fifteen was color Christmas pictures. Easy, seeing as it was also the day of Dom's party....
Day sixteen was supposed to be an outdoor light thing but again, the weather foiled all plans. So we went to my parent's and baked cookies. More of that later of course!
Day seventeen was preparing the kid's teacher's gifts... so many people are working with Letty on a daily basis it is almost out of control. We are so thankful for all of them!
