Chuck E. Cheese's york grand reopening event

Last Tuesday afternoon, on the kid's first day of Thanksgiving Break, we had the opportunity to attend Chuck E. Cheese's York Grand Reopening Event. To say my kids were thrilled is an understatement. And what a way for them to kick off their break! We got there a bit early and the kids got a "swag"  bag including all sorts of goodies, but the biggest hit being the All You Can Play wrist bands and of course the cups that change color when they are cold. Both of which can be reused so I mean. All the refills forever? Amazing.
While we waited for the ribbon cutting we checked out the light up dance floor which the boys (and myself if I'm being honest) loved. Then the characters came out! They did a little dance that the boys were all about. Letty seemed to be having a moment of I think I'm too old for this which, no, she is not. Then we headed outside for the ribbon cutting! Big scissors and all! I got a tour of the newly transformed facility which is just so much brighter and cleaner looking! The entire menu looks different too, there are more options other than just pizza and salad. Even gluten free choices! They also added an open kitchen where you can pick up your food the second it's ready (and get a peak at what's going on in there). We polished off a large cheese pizza during the course of the afternoon...as my kids do.
But the highlight for my kids was the All You Can Play system. They got 90 minutes of play time and that means as many games and rides and photos as they can possibly squeeze into that time. That's a lot of time. The amount of tickets my kids each had at the end of that 90 minutes was unreal. I had to get them bags. They enjoyed playing on the new games, especially the Paw Patrol and the Minion one. And if they want to stop the clock on that 90 minutes they can tap it onto the kiosk and then go back to playing once they are done eating or whatever. I really like the idea of this because you can just show up, pay for say like an hour or what have you and then go! No more "wasted" coins on the rides or the pictures and no more of one kid being done but the other still has tokens, etc.
It was just such a fun evening and the kids left feeling like kings and a queen. Letty couldn't stop saying how nice the manager was. I think she felt a little like a celebrity. The staff there was pretty great! Anyways if you are local and your kids like to play games head on over to York's Chuck E. Cheese's! They will leave happy and exhausted!

If I was a wiser woman I would have played this day off as an early birthday celebration for Dominic... Because guess where he wants to go for his birthday next month??
