hersheypark in the dark

Last Friday was the first day of Hersheypark in the Dark, a very spooktacular time where the rides we know and love at Hershey get fun new names and the kids wear costumes and get candy and other manner of fun festive things. We met up with our normal group, my parents, my sister's family and my brother's family. We are quite the deal aren't we? I wouldn't have it any other way.

The chosen costumes were a bit of a repeat from last year's Halloween, which works! Waste not, want not! Lena the Lady Bug, Mikayla was a real Bee (hee hee), David was Captain America, Letteria was Elena of Avalor and Dominic decided to squeeze his almost three year old body into his brother's Darth Vader costume from when he was just one. So there you go. Recycling costumes at it's finest!

It was drizzling the whole time which stunk, obviously, but I think that helped keep the crowds at bay. We had ourselves some Chick-fil-A before hitting up the trick-or-treat area. After that it was just a matter of finding rides that had some form of roof over head to go on. We didn't stay too long, there is only so much drizzle a momma can take. But we will be back, for sure. On a day with hopefully less rain.

Prior Hersheypark in the Dark visits here and here... And when we used to have Dutch Wonderland season passes their Halloween themed fun here, here, here, here and here! And after seeing my little babies all little well.... Wine me.
