Without our lovely hosts we knew we wouldn't spend the whole day here like originally planned... After much deliberation and house prepping we decided to attempt the beach, even though it was super windy still. We just agreed that less is more when it came to gear. We arrived practically before 8 a.m. and set up what little shop we had, only to learn that the safest place from the blowing sand was right at the waves. The kids tore around in the water and waves and I had all sorts of The Notebook thoughts watching them. If you're a bird I'm a bird and all that. Because Noah Calhoun! Mylanta! We couldn't stay too long unfortunately because of the wind and what it did to the kid's little faces and decided a pool visit was up next!
We swam a little and ate our lunch before packing up for the final time and heading our vans back north...
