Yesterday we were kindly invited over to a friend of David's house where there was a slide going directly into their pool and it went something like this...
Dominic, age 2 years: Okay, sure David, I'll go first. Wait what do you mean mommy doesn't want me to go down it? I have to hold dad's hand? Are you crazy!? Gah!!!!!! Hulk smash! Fine. I'll let Liam go first but then I'm next. I'm waiting! I'll hold your hand once dad but no more because my name is Dom and I am not afraid. Face first okay too yeah?

David, age 4 years: Dominic, you go first. Okay Liam go. I'm afraid! Mommy!!! I need a hug! Okay I want to go down now. Hurry up Dom!!!! Letty don't push me! Mom! She's pushing me! Oh. M. Goodness! I want to go again!! HAHAHAHA! Watch me! Mommy, are you watching? Mommy???? Ready? Are you ready? Are you talking a video? Can you take a picture?

Letty, age 6 years: Okay so a slide is pretty cool. But I mean can I go down it face first? Face first and on my belly? How about on my side? How about I walk down it? How about I work on my flips off the diving board mom, that's totally okay with you right? I'm never one to hurt myself on things or break bones or require stitches...

And this my friends is why I have little gray hairs around my temples...
