take me out to the ballgame

4.19.2016

Or more commonly known around these parts, the Lancaster Barnstormer's Fan Fest. It's a family friendly afternoon at the ball park. Game included! And did I mention free?? They had crafts for the kids, rides, a park area set up, bouncy slides (even though the kids weren't tall enough to go down them yet). You could sit in the stadium seating itself, or on the hill behind the outfield, or at any number of tables and chairs scattered around. I think once Dom is a bit older and more prone to listening it would be a much more enjoyable event. And we may need to bring a baseball enthusiast with us because David asks a lot of questions and my baseball knowledge is rudimentary at best, and Matt's is possibly worse. We are not a family of sports people, Matt and I. So next year we will bring in the big guns...

But it was a gorgeous day to expose the kids to a little bit of professional baseball! And to just get out and enjoy the nice weather!

  2. Fun! We aren't overly sporty over here either. Baseball, they have bats and balls and fun pants. That's all I've got.

  3. I love baseball! Probably the only sport I can stand to watch! I am oddly excited to get to GA to get the boys signed up for t-ball. I mean the uniforms...so cute! Anyway, no idea where I was going with this, other than you guys always find such fun things to do!

  4. Looks like such a fun day! I am not very sporty at all but Mike is alllll about sports so he covers that for the both of us ;) I have noticed myself following along more and more in the 12 years we've been together, and baseball games are my fave to go to. They just feel so all American and nostalgic to me for some reason, and a cold beverage under the sun is always a good time to me :)
