Moss balls are like, expensive. And that's just sort of ridiculous if you ask me. I was at a local decor warehouse place and was about to foolishly purchase fake looking balls that would have set me back $8.95 a piece when my mother in all her wisdom suggested I just make my own with her bag of spanish moss she had just lying around. I found three stryofoam balls for a quarter each and was on my merry way.
My merry, messy, way.
You just need your spanish moss, balls of some kind, and a hot glue gun. And to be mentally and emotionally prepared for a mess.
The moss came in a bag and it was all sorts of tangled up together. So I removed a bunch and sort of flattened it and spread it out as much as I could. Then I just started liberally applying hot glue and just folding scads of moss onto the glue, adding more glue in places as I needed. The end. Mic drop. Or as Letty would say, easy peasey lemon squeezy.
And a special thanks to my very special photographer, Letty.
