the disney portion part 5

Letty still had her fever but as long as she had Tylenol in her system she acted normally... So we decided today was the day. The day we were going to meet Anna and Elsa. We got to Magic Kingdom before it opened and I walked very fast (read: ran) to the Princess Hall place. I was there by 8:03 and the park had only been open only three minutes. The line was two hours long. By 8:21 it was over five hours long. Too bad ladies we were not waiting in that! Shocking.

Instead we got to ride a ton of other rides, since most people were waiting in that mess. Being there first thing really is the best. We always have such success during that Extra Magic Hour.

Attractions/characters we did get to do/see:
Rapunzel and Cinderella
Prince Charming Regal Carousel
Peter Pan's Flight
It's a Small World
The Magic Carpet's of Aladdin
Jungle Cruise
Pirates of the Caribbean
Mickey's Philharmagic
Prince Charming Regal Carousel
Dumbo the Flying Elephant
Walt Disney World Railroad
Under the Sea - Journey of the Little Mermaid

I had wanted to stay for the parade but once Letty saw my mom leave all bets were off. We had to go where Nonna goes. We found a water park back at our resort and the next two hours were spent there.

Dinner was had back at our resort as well at The Turf Club Bar and Grill. We met our Aunt Wilma there for dinner. Sadly no real photos because Letty had had it. Fevers and vacation. No fun.

After the kids were settled Kerri came back again and we walked around Downtown Disney for my last night. Sniff.

It turns out that Letty's said fever was caused by an ear infection. The poor dear. We left early the next morning and drove drove drove until we could drove no more. I hate doing it all in one push when the push is mostly during daylight hours. We all get a bit cranky. Understandably so...

Thank you to my parents for the lovely trip to Disney World! We always have such a great time and make such magical memories. We are already dreaming of when we can go back. Wink wink.

p.s. again, some of these photos are Kerri's.

  1. haha, yes exactly what I saw when we walked past the princess line...what no way! I'll be over here enjoying no lines instead thanks!

Your kiddos make the best faces...Letty on the carousel and then David right below, those two were cracking me up. Too bad about the fever and the short trip though. How was your skipper? Ours was kind of lame, like he was reading from the skipper handbook bored.

Whew. It HAD to be said. I'm assuming most of the people already in the line booked early ADR's for the morning JUST so they could stand in that line before the park opened. I mean, seriously. THAT'S MADNESS. To see people dressed up like Anna and Elsa? I'm sorry, I just can't get over it. Moving on.

Magic Kingdom is my favorite park (okay, so all the parks are my favorite!) there is something so magical about it though. Letty looks so nervous with the princess' she is SUCH a doll. Sorry about her ear infection, poor thing. Hopefully she's all better!

Sooo, when is the next trip?!

  3. Pictures of your kids at Disney make me happy. I love how serious Letty takes her pictures with the princesses. And David in his swim trunks. All so cute! All these posts have definitely convinced me to make sure a trip to Disney happens in the future.

  4. Poor little Letty!!! But man she rallied for those princesses! Such cute pictures, all of them. David never ceases to make me laugh with his cute ear to ear smiles!!

  5. letty was a trooper and the pics are just the cutest!

  6. Poor Letty, but also, she looks so so happy with those princesses. And I know I am going to state the obvious, but Disneyland seems like the ultimate. Hmmm. Must plan another posting to the states so we can go. Running out of time on this one.

  7. I actually did comment on this last week when I saw it but I see it never made it off my iphone to actually stick here. This is why I hardly ever read blogs from my phone. Rant over. :)

Again, everything here is magical. Love those smilling faces. That Letty is definitely a troper for sure. I think the pirate hat should of come home with you. hehe

  8. Love. That's all. There's a storytelling quality in your writing and photos that is perfection. And I loved the Disney recaps. Like going back myself. One of my favorite places ever on all the planet. Can I tell you a secret? I have been to real Paris and I like Epcot Paris better.

I love hearing from you. Honest I do. You won't find my response to you here, but in your inbox. F.Y.I.
