"Young boys should never be sent to bed. They always wake up a day older."
-J.M. Barrie
Picking just one quote is like picking your favorite day ever. How can you? But the above is ONE of my favorites (besides shit or get off the pot). We love it so much we had it put on David's wall so he can love it too.
Why?
We love pirates in this house. This leads to Peter Pan and Neverland which leads to J.M. Barrie. This leads to the movie Finding Neverland which leads to us holding each other crying. Just kidding we don't touch. Ever.
So besides all that... It's true that our kids grow too fast. Every day they change and mold into this kid instead of a toddler. A toddler instead of a baby. While I fully support a strict bed time I also understand the regret in every day that ends. They will never be that young again. Tomorrow may be the day that Letty decides to use the potty or D might take his first steps without my hand. They are never the same tomorrow.
So who cares if they crawl in bed with you every morning? They won't be that way for long. Some day I will long for those times.
Cue my heart breaking.
Tomorrow's post: I profess my love for someone.
